Erich Recker first began acting while attending The Ohio State University. Having whetted his appetite for the stage by appearing in several university and local productions, including "I Hate Hamlet," "A Night in Comedy" and "Completely Improv," this Ohio native soon found himself daydreaming about the possibility of pursuing an acting career full-time between classes. Faced with what he thought would be a suffocating life of office drudgery, Recker soon decided to leave his clerking position at a Cincinnati law firm behind in order to move to Los Angeles and chase after his dream.
With $150 and a Shell gas card in his pocket, Recker soon found himself in Hollywood, where he hit the ground running -- and has not stopped since. He has already begun to make a name for himself with starring roles in the 1995 Sundance film "Dream Date," and the independent film "Reason to Believe." This past July he worked with Shelly Long on a feature titled, "The Abduction of Ragtime". Having a desire to pursue production, he recently collaborated with MGM Studios and the Channel One Network to produce, "The Making of The Man In The Iron Mask" with Leonardo DiCaprio, John Malkovich, and Jeremy Irons which aired March 3, on the Channel One Network.
